With a common backbone of studying classical music at a music college in Japan and jazz at Berklee College of Music in the US, vibraphonist Reiko Yamamoto (who released her first album “Tempus Fugit” in 2013, which was ranked 10th on the 2013 Jazz Floor Annual Chart at Ginza Yamano Music Co. No. 10 on the 2013 Jazz Floor Charts at Ginza Yamano Gakki) and pianist Takako Yamada hit it off after performing at a live house in Tokyo in 2017. As they performed more and more, they were drawn to each other’s sensibilities and decided to form a unit, taking the common elements of their names, and , to form . The album features their original arrangements of Beethoven’s “Pathetique” and Schumann’s “Troimelije” as well as their original compositions, which are popular at their live performances. Guest Aya Kurosawa’s (vo) crystal voice adds to the sound.
