Description
Wewantsounds reissues Charles Kynard’s 1972 cult classic Woga, a deep-grooving jazz-funk set recorded in Los Angeles for Mainstream Records. Produced by Bob Shad, it features a stellar lineup including Chuck Rainey, Paul Humphrey, Arthur Adams, and George Bohanon. One of the label’s funkiest outings, the album centres on Kynard’s trademark Hammond organ and tight, soulful arrangements.
This edition marks the first vinyl reissue since the album’s original release and includes a bonus track, ‘Smiling Faces Sometimes’. It features newly remastered audio, original gatefold artwork with first-generation session photos, and a two-page insert with liner notes by Kevin Le Gendre.
