Wham!’s Make It Big saw George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley embrace a more pop-oriented sound, along with a more colourful image. It earned them their rightful place as one of the biggest acts of the 80s. ‘Make it Big’ was a huge success, hitting number one in both the US and the UK and all four singles reached the top three – ‘Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go’, ‘Careless Whisper’, ‘Freedom’ & ‘Everything She Wants’.
