Description
MHz return with Table Scraps, finally issued on vinyl by Table Scraps Records. First released in 2001, the album gathers unreleased tracks and lost sessions recorded between 1997–2001, capturing the crew in their formative years as they helped push underground hip-hop into its next phase.
Across the record, Copywrite, RJD2, Camu Tao, Jakki Da Motamouth, and Tage carve out a sound that feels both of its time and outside it. Copywrite anchors the release with sharp, technical performances and two self-produced tracks that show his strength as both rapper and beatmaker. Tage delivers precision and intensity, Jakki keeps things rough-edged, and the late Camu Tao appears in vivid, unpredictable form.
Production comes from RJD2, Mighty Mi, Camu, and Copywrite, setting a stark, sample-heavy backdrop that reflects the energy of Midwest DIY rap before the mainstream caught on. More than an archival collection, Table Scraps stands as a document of a crew shaping a sound that would influence a generation.
