The Soundsmith Zephyr MkIII phono cartridge employs “Trickle Down” Technology from a unique Energy Distribution System within the cartridge body as used in the Soundsmith’s well received high end Sussurro Cartridge.
The new
Zephyr MKIII features a new proprietary Soundsmith Aluminum alloy cantilever that has unique dualistic properties of both stiffness in the lower registers, and just enough damping for extended frequencies to allow the purity of tone to be realized – much more linearity and lower distortion to compliment the tiny internal moving mass and our enhanced constant contact damping system. The
Zephyr MKIII is further complimented with our new ultra-low mass occlusion free diamond Nude CL stylus which allows more azimuth leeway without introducing tracing jitter.
The Zephyr MkIII is built using a selected “low mass contact line diamond” stylus design, mounted on an Aluminum cantilever capable of truly remarkable separation, sound stage and imaging. The composite body and unique energy distribution system contributes to the Zephyr MkIIIs ability to produce high-end performance from a moderately priced cartridge.
