This CD was released in 2001, two years after the recording of guitarist Shinobu Ito’s previous CD “Midnight Session / Live at Pat’s N.Y.C. 1989,” as a record of a live performance at the Roppongi Pit Inn with Hidefumi Toki, Ken Shima, Kenji Takamizu, Yuichi Tokashiki and others, and later was discontinued. This is a reissue of the CD “ONE LIFE TO LIVE” with newly unreleased songs. Starting with a fantastic fusion, followed by smooth jazz, and ending with a blazing up-tempo hard bop in the second half, the members of the band all worked together to devour Shinobu Ito’s music with all their might, making this one night of live performance a magnificent achievement and a precious record in the history of jazz in Japan.
