Sadao Watanabe is one of Japan’s leading saxophone players. This is the first big band album in his over 60-year career as a professional musician. The album features support from an international rhythm section led by renowned drummer Peter Erskine, known for his work with Weather Report and the Jaco Pastorius Big Band, and Yellow Jackets keyboardist Russell Ferrante, as well as a top Japanese horn player, Yoichi Murata, on trombone. Recorded at Orchard Hall on December 14, 2014.
