Pokey LaFarge’s latest studio album is a modern revival of traditional American roots music such as early jazz, gypsy swing, and country blues. The album is produced by Chris Seyfried, who also produces Lana Del Rey, and is a crossover of good old style and modern sound, a true Americana! Since his first album “Marmalade” released in 2007, Pokey LaFarge has consistently expressed American roots music such as early jazz, gypsy swing, country blues, and ragtime as “today’s” music.This album is released on New West Records, one of the leading labels in contemporary Americana, after his last album “Manic Revelations” released in 2017 on Concord/Rounder Records, and it is a further evolution of his consistent style. This new album is the perfect Americana sound for the start of the 2020’s. Producers include Lana Del Rey. The producer is Chris Seefried, one of the top producers in the current U.S. scene, who has also worked with Lana Del Rey, and the musicians are Joel Patterson (Guitar), Scott Ligon (Keyboard), Jimmy Sutton (Bass), and other great Chicago musicians. The lineup is ironclad!
