At just 11 years old, pianist Nyu Nyu has taken the world by storm. He is now ready to release his Decca debut disc! In 2017, when he turned 20, he recorded his first album on the Decca label, a world-class classical label. The core of the album is Liszt’s great piano sonata, which contains many virtuoso elements, but he also includes two improvisations by Chopin, which he chose to “balance” with Liszt, Schubert’s Improvisation No. 3, which he especially wanted to record, and the Rondo Caravaggio by Mendelssohn, which he has been familiar with since he was 7 or 8 years old, and which is very dear to his heart. Mendelssohn’s “Rondo Capriccioso,” a piece he has loved since he was 7 or 8 years old. The recording producer and engineer is Rainer Mayerl, a renowned tone-meister who has made numerous recordings for Deutsche Grammophon and other renowned recordings.
