Mika Stoltzman is the proud marimba player of Japan. Known for her work with her band “Mikalimba,” Stoltzman is proud to present this duo album with her public and private partner, clarinet legend Richard Stoltzman. The album is produced by Grammy award-winning producer Stephen Epstein. The album, produced with extraordinary effort and featuring special guest Chick Corea, a jazz legend who needs no explanation, features a wide range of pieces from Toru Takemitsu’s “Air,” the world’s first clarinet recording, to pieces by Chick Corea and John Zorn, and a piece with orchestra written by Michiru Oshima. The album is a masterpiece that fully demonstrates the appeal of these two clarinettists, who transcend genres.
