Matthew Trussler is one of the UK’s outstanding violinists and the owner of the ORCHID CLASSICS label. On this album, he performs two violin concertos by Prokofiev. The first, which Nathan Milshtein called “one of the finest violin concertos of the 20th century and perhaps the best of Prokofiev’s works,” and the lyrical second, which Yascha Heifetz loved with all his heart, are accompanied by Grant Llewellyn, the well-known music director of the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra.
