[The Art of Martha Argerich UHQCD] The queen of piano continues to fascinate the world with her technique, tonal brilliance, and overwhelming performances. To commemorate the 80th anniversary of her birth, 20 solo piano recordings and concerto recordings are released on UHQCD in a limited edition of 20 titles. Green color label coating. Argerich’s first recording of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto was made in 1970 by the young Argerich. It was performed with Dutoit, who was married at the time. He later re-recorded the piece with Kondrashin, Abbado, and others, but the sharpness and boldness of the performance are different from his later free-spirited performances. Mendelssohn with Kremer is also included.
