The first solo album in three years from legendary blues singer and harpist Kim Wilson, who has led the Fabulous Thunderbirds for over 40 years and won many music awards including a Grammy! For this album, she teams up with promising young guitarist Big John Atkinson to present a collection of originals by the two as well as covers by Little Walter, Howlin’ Wolf, Percy Mayfield, Jimmy Nolen, and others. His skilled blues harp and strong vocals are a true stalwart. Kim Wilson was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1951, and formed the Fabulous Thunderbirds in 1974 after meeting Jimmy Vaughan in Austin, Texas, while on a tour. He made his debut in 1979 with “Girls Go Wild. In the 2000s, the pace of their activities slowed down, but they continued to make new albums and released “Tuff Enuff” in 2005. Although the pace of their activities decreased in the 2000s, they released “Painted On” in 2005 and “On the Barge” in 2001, and continue to be active to this day.In parallel, he has also released solo albums such as “Tigerman” (1991), “My Blues” (1997), “Looking for Trouble” (2003), and “Blues and Boogie, Vol. 1” (2005), and has made guest appearances on countless albums by many artists.
