East Wind, Japan’s world-class jazz label, started in 1975.” To celebrate the label’s 40th anniversary, the entire catalog is being reissued in a limited edition for 1000 yen (excluding tax). This is the first release in 13 years for the series. The only leader album by Hubert Eaves, a keyboardist who also played in the Miles Davis-inspired Unto Troop led by Gary Bartz. The performance is fun and urban funky, full of streetwise sensibilities. Hubert also provides vocals on one track, using DSD remastering, recorded May 15 & 16, 1976 at Minot Studios, New York City.
