The world’s oldest classical label, Deutsche Grammophon, which boasts a history of over 120 years, and Decca (including the former Philips), which will celebrate its 90th anniversary in 2019 and is home to conductor Seiji Ozawa, pianist Mitsuko Uchida, and other greats. The series of evergreen masterpieces from both Decca and Philips labels will be released! We conducted a survey of about 25,000 people in the classical music industry and members of our newsletter. The campaign will release 20 titles in each genre every two weeks, for a total of 100 titles. The best of Mozart by Goulda, who is known as one of the “Three Crows of Vienna” but also had a penchant for jazz, demonstrating both the authentic taste of the Viennese style and his overflowing talent! The piano playing is clear, supple, and full of excitement, and together with the tight backing of Abbado and the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, it conveys the best of Mozart’s two most famous concertos.
