This album is a sequel to “After Hours” released in 2008 by jazz pianist Chihiro Yamanaka. This album is positioned as a project different from the conventional piano trio, and was recorded with a lineup of piano, bass, guitar, and drums, sometimes as a quartet, sometimes as a drumless trio, and in a variety of other configurations. This is a work that demonstrates Yamanaka’s arranging ability in all its forms. (C)RS
