For Arthur Grumiaux, Mozart was one of his favorite composers until his later years. His Paris debut shortly after the war was also his third concerto. In this collection, Gruomiaux, who is in his 30s, plays young Mozart’s works with a dashing, youthful tone. Although recorded in monaural, this disc also captures his beautiful sound. (C)RS
