In 2016, the year he turns 17, the long-awaited album by a teenage pianist who recorded the difficult piece “Pictures at an Exhibition” is released, expressing his “present” as he makes a big leap from a boy to a young man. His latest album, his sixth in total, is a collection of works by the Russian composers he is currently focusing on, with Mussorgsky’s masterpiece “Pictures at an Exhibition” as the main work. This time, the album focuses on Mussorgsky’s masterpiece “Pictures at an Exhibition.” All the composers and arrangers are from Russia. Tchaikovsky’s famous “Waltz of the Flowers” was arranged by Russian pianist Vyacheslav Gryazunov, who is currently his student, and this is the world premiere recording. It is a dramatic, large scale, virtuosic piano work that requires a high level of technique and musicality.
