[Classical Masters No. 11] A collection of definitive and long-selling recordings from Warner Classics (formerly EMI Classics). The analog recordings are the latest remastered recordings from analog masters made by Abbey Road Studios and other overseas studios. The front cover uses the original overseas cover design. Commentary included. Du Pré and Barenboim were a married couple, and Zukerman, who performs here with them, was also a close “musical friend” of the two, both publicly and privately. In these two pieces written by Beethoven in his youth, the passionate music played by the three, who were in their twenties at the time, overflows.
