This is the seventh original full-length album by the contemporary jazz-rock piano trio fox capture plan after a year’s absence. Greatest Blue” was composed with the image of the tour that ended with a full house at Blue Note Tokyo for 2 days and other stops in Nagoya and Osaka, and is named after the color “blue”, which is often used in song titles and album names in the history of jazz, and “Greatest”, which is the greatest respect for the “great” predecessors in the jazz world. The name “GREATEST” is a modern jazz approach that combines these two words. The album also includes a self-titled cover of the main theme song from “Confidence Man JP,” the recently concluded Geki 9 drama starring Masami Nagasawa, and a cover of Ne-Yo’s “Because Of You,” a big R&B hit in 2007. The strings, which were introduced on the fourth album “BUTTERFLY”, and synthesizers and other electronic sounds, which were introduced on the fifth album “FRAGILE”, are still present.
